MODIFIED CYLINDER HEADS

All head prices are based on exchange (non exchange surcharges apply as on page 10 reconditioned heads)

Standard early type MK2 heads 7010333 + 7010171

As these heads have no facility for oil draining from head to block, top hat seals are used which foul with .310" + lift, cams to overcome this problem. I fit B1 seals, shortened valve guide (cam side) and extra strong single valve springs up to .360" lift cams can be used with this arrangement. MK2 late (L4) 71981533 have oil drain, these heads are supplied without seals.

CAPACITY: i.e. 875cc heads are suitable for 930cc where as 988cc if machined for the larger 79.7 o/d Wills ring then suitable up to 1200cc.

for 72.5mm bore (988cc) or 74mm (1040-1190cc) engines.

SPECIFICATION (A)

Sport head, pressure tested, bridged welded across waterway slots to strengthen machined Angle face and add support to machined grooves for Wills rings, Exhaust port increased diameter (26mm), Inlet port increased diameter with off set bias to encourage swirl induction, full radius multi angle alloy bronze valve seats leading into venturi shaped throat, Bronze alloy tapered valve guides, Valves reshaped highly polished 1.37" inlet - 1.190" exhaust, Chambers reshaped and equalised for high compression, Valve springs race (10,000rpm) shimmed to equalise fitted length, Tempered spring caps/cotters.
